This story happened before I was born to my father while he was in boot camp. He was having problems with some of the guys who was there with him. He went to bed one night after being up 24 hours for a drill course.
He dreamed of his grandmother who passed away a while back. In his dream his grandmother kept telling him to beware there is danger.
He awoke feeling very cold all of a sudden and remembering his dream he reached for blankets, not truly all the way awake, it took him a little while to realize he was hanging out a window by his feet. Then he said, grandmother was there and helped him to get back in the window.
